and the car rental services provided by DriveMe Pattaya. By booking a car or using our services you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before making a reservation.
1. General
- DriveMe Pattaya provides car rental services in Pattaya directly and with local partners.
- The minimum rental period is one day 24 hours.
- All bookings depend on vehicle availability at the time of confirmation.
- English is the primary language of these Terms. Translations are for convenience only.
2. Driver Requirements
- Minimum driver age is 21 years.
- A valid driving license held for at least one year is required. International Driving Permit may be required depending on your country of license.
- A valid passport or national ID must be presented at pickup.
- Only drivers listed in the rental agreement may drive the vehicle.
3. Booking and Payment
- No deposit is required when booking through our website unless stated otherwise for special vehicles or peak dates.
- No credit card is required to confirm a reservation. Payment can be made by cash or debit card at pickup.
- Prices shown during booking include basic insurance unless stated otherwise.
- Additional options such as child seats, extra drivers or extended insurance can be added for an extra charge.
- Currency for payment is Thai Baht unless specified in writing.
4. Vehicle Use
- The vehicle must be driven in accordance with Thai traffic laws.
- No off road use. No racing. No towing. No transport of illegal goods.
- Smoking is not allowed inside the vehicle. Cleaning fees may apply if the car is returned excessively dirty or with strong odors.
- Pets are allowed only in carriers and with prior notice. Cleaning fees may apply.
- Travel outside Pattaya and Chonburi province is allowed within Thailand unless otherwise limited in the rental agreement. Ferries to islands require our prior consent.
5. Mileage, Fuel and Tolls
- Mileage is unlimited unless stated otherwise in your confirmation.
- Fuel policy is same to same. Return the car with the same fuel level as at pickup or refueling fees may apply.
- All tolls, parking fees and traffic fines are the responsibility of the renter.
6. Insurance and Liability
- Basic insurance is included. It typically covers third party liability and limited damage to the rental car subject to terms and exclusions of the insurer.
- Optional extended coverage can be purchased to reduce your financial responsibility. Details and limits are provided at booking and at pickup.
- The renter is responsible for any damage, loss, or downtime not covered by insurance including damage due to negligence or policy exclusions such as drunk driving.
- Personal belongings are not insured. Do not leave valuables in the car.
7. Accidents and Breakdowns
- In case of accident or damage call the emergency number provided in your rental documents and inform the police if required.
- Do not admit fault or negotiate private settlements. Obtain a police report and take photos when safe.
- For breakdowns contact our support. Unauthorized repairs are not reimbursed unless approved by us in writing.
8. Pickup and Return
- Vehicles can be delivered to Bangkok airports with transfer to Pattaya, to Pattaya city locations or to your hotel as agreed in the booking.
- Return the vehicle at the agreed time and place. Late return may incur additional charges calculated per hour or per day.
- Report any new damage or issues at return. A cleaning fee may apply if excessive sand, stains or smoking traces are present.
9. Changes, Cancellation and No Show
- Changes are subject to availability and possible rate differences.
- You can cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before scheduled pickup unless your confirmation states a different policy for peak dates.
- No show may result in a fee up to one rental day.
10. Customer Responsibilities
- Keep the vehicle locked and documents safe at all times.
- Use the correct fuel type as shown on the car or in the manual.
- Pay all fines, tolls and charges incurred during the rental period. Administrative fees may apply for processing fines.
11. Data Protection
We process personal data according to our Privacy Policy available on the website. By renting a car you consent to that processing as needed to provide the service.
12. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control such as natural disasters, strikes, wars, government actions or major network outages.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law our liability is limited to direct damages up to the amount paid for the rental period in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost flights or hotel nights.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Courts of Chonburi province have non exclusive jurisdiction. You agree to try to resolve disputes with us amicably before filing a claim.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with the updated date. Continued use of the service means you accept the changes.
